Hello! I would like to book a cocktail tasting (with snacks) for 4 adults for January 3rd at 3PM. Actually, we would like to taste the wines on their own as well as some cocktails — not sure what the charge is for that? Also, is it okay for us to come with 2 children? Obviously, they will not be drinking 🙂 but we have no one to babysit them. Please let me know what you think and what the price will be for our group (4 adults, 2 non-drinking children). Thank you!

    • Sombai says:

      Hi Preeta,

Sorry for the late answer, I was checking if we will have staff able to make the cocktail on that day. And it is ok.

  20. Preeta Samarasan says:

    • Sombai says:

      Hi Angel,

      We have 2 options:
One is just to book a free tasting.
The other one is to have a VIP treatment, including tuktuk pick-up and return, a cold bottle of water and snacks during the tasting for $5 per pax.
In any case, please book in advance as for a large group like that we have to keep the place only for you during 1 hour.

  28. Colton says:

Hi, four of us would be interested in come for a free tasting on Saturday around 4. Does that work? Thank you.

  29. Angela says:

Hi, I purchased a bottle at the PHARE Circus and it was taken at the airport. Is there any way to order and have a bottle shipped to the US? Thank you!!

    • Sombai says:

      Hi Angela,

      So sorry to heard that.
I guess you took the 200ml bottles. At the airport, these bottles need to be checked-in as it is more than 100ml (we also sell 100ml at the Circus which are fit-for-carry-on-luggage size).
Regarding sending to the US, unfortunately none of the shipping company here accept to send alcohol.
The only option I now is to find an US expat here in Siem Reap who would be about to fly back to the US and to find an arrangement with him/her to take a bottle in their check-in luggage.
Try to post here, as they are the most active:

  30. Freya says:

Hi, We are visiting Siem Reap and would like to book a free tasting session on 20th July at 5pm. Is that alright? Just two of us.

  31. Lindsay says:

Can we please come for a cocktail tasting tomorrow August 21st at 12 pm? Please let us know if that time works. Thank you!

    • Sombai Liqueur says:

      Hi Lindsay,

      Greetings from Sombai!
Actually the tasting is only on the liqueur (not the cocktails). Should you need a pick-up and a VIP service, we can book a driver for you ($5 per pax).
For the cocktail, you should book a cocktail class (daily only at 5pm for $25).
And also today is already August 21st, so I guess you want it tomorrow 22nd August (Monday?).

Could you please confirm, and I will do it for you.

  32. Lindsay says:

Great. Yes, we would just like to do the tasting today then at 12. I believe we can find our ride to your place. It will be for two people. Thank you!

  33. Mishell says:

Hi, two of us would like to come for rice wine tasting on August 28th at 5pm. Please let us know if that time works. Thank you.

  34. Clarence Shirley says:

Is it possible to show up for a tasting today for 2 people? Or do we need to book a time?

    • Sombai says:

You can come today at any time from 9am to 7pm. But it is better for you to indicate your time so we can do our best to have you alone at the workshop during the tasting.

  35. Clarence Shirley says:

We will plan on 1pm today if that is okay.

  36. Clarence Shirley says:

I must apologise that we must cancel our 1 pm today. Our tuk tuk driver could not find it and stopped to try to get directions several times.

  37. Christina Tan says:

How would we carry the glass liqueur bottles with us on the flight? Do you pack it for us so we can check it in with our luggage. We are not allowed to carry bottled liquid as cabin luggage.
What is the miminum number of bottles to purchase if you pack it for us for check-in luggage plse. Tq

    • Sombai says:

      Hi Christina,

First we do have some fit for carry-on luggage bottles (100ml size is allowed in cabin).
Second, all our painted bottles come in a palm leaf box that protect it.
Third, you can also buy extra palm leaf boxes for $0.5 to $1 for non-painted bottles.
Fourth, for larger purchases, we can also put the bottles in a carton box with protection.

So, you will not have to worry. Our bottles have travelled all around the world for the past 5 years. The only case of problem was when people forgot to check-in bottles larger than 100ml.

Feel free to inform when you expect to come.

      See you soon

  40. Jane says:

We are visiting in April and all 4 of us would like to see the actual workshop. Please can you tell me if we can have a tour of the workshop as well as the tasting?
We have looked at the tour on Expedia but the latest one is at noon and we would rather visit later eg 6pm. Is this time possible?

    • Sombai says:

      Hi Jane,

Yes sure, you can also book directly for 6pm, but since we have more booking in the evening in general, I need to check availability first. On which day in April do you plan to come?
