Dear Wes Leung,
I will be a pleasure to welcome you in our Sombai Infused Rice Spirit shop.
Since the shop is still located at our place, it may not be open all the time. It is highly recommend to give a 1 day notice to be sure 100% that we will be here when you arrive.
Kindest regards,
Lionel & Joëlle
Dear Sir/Madam,

Hello! Is it possible to make a reservation for oocktail tasting and snacks for 4 adults (wine tasting, cocktails, and snacks) and 2 children (just snacks) for 1PM on December 22nd (Monday)? Please let me know.
Hi Peetra,
No worries, but there are some confusion. Monday is 21st December. So do you wish to come on Monday 21st or Tuesday 22nd.
Kindly confirm you time also.
Thank you
Lionel
We will be visiting Siem Reap at the end of February. Can we make a reservation for a tasting, cocktails, and tour on Tuesday, 23 Feb at 4pm? We will have 3 adults and 2 young children. Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Courtney,
Your booking on 23rd February 4pm is confirmed.
Unfortunately, it will be without the cocktails as we are not able to provide this anymore. $5 for visit, tasting and snack. The kids will be free of charge, but we will still give some sugarcane juice to refresh them so they can share the tasting experience somehow.
We will send a map and instruction to reach the workshop, so please check your email.
Cheers!
Lionel

Hi,
Do you still offer the Sombai Liqueur Tasting and Cocktail Class with hotel pick up as advertised on tripadvisor? Is it possible to do this at midday?
Thanks
Sherry
Hi Sherry,
The cocktail class is only at 5pm, so that is way the package visit+tasting+cocktail class starts at 4pm.
The tasting of Sombai alone could be done at any time of the day between 9am and 5pm. We have a package (pick-up+visit+snack+tasting) at 10am on Viator, but we can arrange it by noon if you want. You just need to book here and inform that you need to be picked-up at 12am.

I hope to see you soon at the workshop,
Lionel
Hi,
I have a booking at 10am 16th March for a tasting. I wanted to let you know I am unable to attend. I will look at attending another time. I don’t want a refund.
Thank you
Sherry
Hi Sherry,
Just tell us what day and time you want to come and we will change your booking accordingly with no fee.
Cheers!
What are the opening hours on 15th March? Do u need to pre book for a tasting?
Hi,
We are open from 9am to 7pm every day, including 15th March.
Booking is not compulsory, but it helps us to make in sort that there is not too many people at the same time and enough staff so that you can enjoy your visit and tasting in the best condition. How many will you be.
We also offer a pick-up and a special treatment (snacks and cold water bottle) if you book through Viator. You can choose different departure time (10am, 12pm, 2pm) from your hotel.

Do we need to book in advance if want to come for a tasting tour during weekend of Aug 5-7?
Hi Chris,
Yes it is recommended to book a time slot so you can have the best conditions for your visit and tasting.
Then you have 2 options:
1. you come on your own and it is free
2. you book a visit, including a VIP treatment and a pick-up and return to your hotel in Siem Reap on Expedia or Viator:

If you want to book a pick-up (to be sure the driver knows where to go) and get a VIP treatment (snack and cold water), you can also book through TripAdvisor/Viator:

Dear Sajan,

Hi, I am interested in your tour (see how liqueur is made, alcohol tasting, purchasing and designing product). However, I am unsure as to when I can insert it in our itinerary. I’ve read in the comments that you accept walk-ins. I just wanted to know how different the experience of the walk-ins will be from those who are pre-booked. Will it be the same minus hotel pick up and drop off? Im most curious about how its made, tasting, and designing and purchasing.
Hi Karina,
Actually we try as much as possible to smooth the visits over the day in order to avoid having many different groups at the same time. It is always more appreciated by the visitor when they can do the visit and tasting alone inside the tasting room.
When there is a pre-booked visit and a walk-in at the same time, we give priority to the pre-booked visit, whereas the walk-in visitor has to have the tasting at the bar counter outside.
Kindly note that we also offer free pick-up at 8am and 9am.
Do you plan to come alone? Is your hotel far from our workshop?
Cheers!
Lionel
HI,
I will travel to Cambodia in October and Im planning to buy a few Sombai as souvenirs. My itinerary is kinda tight so im just planning to buy some items before I left Siem Reap and might not be able to visit the workshop, do I still need to book the date or I can just drop by on the day itself? Thanks!
Hi Ayn,
The booking helps us to reduce the risk of having several groups at the same time as we prefer as much as possible to offer the visit and tasting service in the best conditions. So, it is not compulsory, but recommended is you want to be served faster.
If your itinerary is very tight we also have a stall at the Made In Cambodia Market, which is very closed to the Old Market (just need to cross the bridge and go behind the Hard Rock Café). If you are not interested in the visit and full tasting, then this could be the best option for you as you will save time for sure. You can still ask to taste all 11 liqueurs and the 4 jams, as you will have some time left 🙂
Cheers!
Lionel

Hi – Do you ship your products to Australia?
Hi Vicki,
We can send some products (painted glasses, jam, etc.), but not the liqueurs.
If ever you know official importers in Australia, feel free to give our contact.
Cheers!
Lionel
Dear Sombai Company,
We will arrive to Siem Reap on 28th December and would like to participate on your tour with 11 flavours and introduction. Our planned arrival by plane is 4 pm – picking up our luggages and being transferred to our hotel will take time. What is the latest appointment to participate on 28th Dec (online booking is not available since it is today:)? We would be the 2 of us with my wife.
Many thanks in advance.
Bests,
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for contacting us.
The last time slot for a booking is 7pm today. 7:30pm might be a bit short to make the visit and tasting as the shop closes at 8pm.
Feel free to ask your driver to call 063 555 0280 if he cannot find our place.
Regards,
Chom reap Sour! My family are survivors of the Khmer Rouge, and were sponsored by Red Cross and brought to the states. Its been a dream of my family to open a restaurant here, and I’m working on pursuing that for them with my mom. I’ve been a cocktail bartender for over a year now, and was looking for khmer inspired cocktail ideas and came across this! I love how far our country has came after such a dark horrible time! I’d love to support you, and would love to sample some of your products to feature them in staple cocktails and hopefully even sell bottles for retail. Is there a way to ship some over? Please let me know!
Chom reap lear, akun chlan!
Monica
Dear Monica,
Thank you for your kind interest.
Actually we can only send bottles in bulk quantities. But if ever you know an importer/distributor in the US that could be interested in our liqueur, we would be delighted to be in contact.
Regards,
Hello, Love your product, especially the umami jam! Would you be able to ship some to the USA? Thanks so much and best wishes to you! Thanks, Ally
Hi Ally,
Thank you for your support. Shipping to the US was suspended last year. Let me check with the Post Office if we can ship again.
Cheers!
